Terms of Service

By accessing and using the services provided by LEAFOREST PCO Car Rental ("we," "our," or "us"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our vehicle rental services, including our electric and hybrid vehicle fleet approved by Transport for London (TfL), Uber, and Bolt.

LEAFOREST PCO provides premium car rental services specializing in:

• Electric vehicle rentals (Tesla Model 3, Nissan Leaf, etc.)
• Hybrid vehicle rentals (Toyota Prius, etc.)
• TfL approved vehicles for Private Hire Vehicle (PHV) licensing
• Uber and Bolt compatible vehicles
• Short-term and long-term rental agreements
• Comprehensive maintenance and insurance packages

To rent a vehicle from LEAFOREST PCO, you must:

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Hold a valid UK driving licence for minimum 2 years
• Have a valid Private Hire Vehicle (PHV) licence from TfL
• Provide proof of identity and address
• Pass our background and credit checks
• Have no more than 6 penalty points on your licence
• Not have any serious driving convictions in the past 5 years

4.1 Contract Terms

Rental agreements are available for the following periods:

• Weekly rentals (minimum 1 week)
• Monthly rentals (1-11 months)
• Yearly contracts (12+ months)

4.2 Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit is required for all rentals:

• Electric vehicles: £1,000 - £2,000
• Hybrid vehicles: £500 - £1,000
• Deposit amount depends on vehicle value and rental duration

5.1 Permitted Use

Vehicles may only be used for:

• Licensed private hire work (Uber, Bolt, etc.)
• Personal transportation within the UK
• Business use as approved by LEAFOREST PCO

5.2 Prohibited Activities

You must NOT:

• Use the vehicle for illegal activities
• Allow unlicensed drivers to operate the vehicle
• Smoke or vape inside the vehicle
• Transport dangerous or illegal substances
• Modify the vehicle without written permission
• Use the vehicle outside the UK without approval

6.1 Payment Schedule

• Weekly rentals: Payment due in advance every Monday
• Monthly rentals: Payment due on the same date each month
• Yearly contracts: Monthly payments with discount applied

6.2 Late Payment

Late payment charges apply:

• £25 fee for payments 1-7 days late
• £50 fee for payments 8-14 days late
• Vehicle recovery after 14 days of non-payment

6.3 Additional Charges

• Excessive wear and tear: As assessed
• Traffic violations: £25 admin fee + fine amount
• Cleaning fee: £50-£150 depending on condition
• Lost keys: £200-£500 depending on vehicle

7.1 Insurance Coverage

All vehicles include:

• Comprehensive insurance for private hire use
• Third-party liability coverage
• Fire and theft protection
• Breakdown and recovery service

7.2 Excess Charges

• Standard excess: £500-£1,000 per claim
• Young driver excess (under 25): Additional £250
• Excess protection available for additional fee

7.3 Your Responsibilities

• Report all accidents immediately
• Provide police report numbers when applicable
• Do not admit liability at accident scenes
• Cooperate fully with insurance investigations

8.1 Our Responsibilities

• Regular servicing and MOT
• Mechanical repairs and breakdowns
• Tyre replacement (fair wear)
• Battery maintenance (electric vehicles)

8.2 Your Responsibilities

• Daily vehicle checks (lights, tyres, fluids)
• Keep vehicle clean inside and out
• Report any damage or issues immediately
• Charge electric vehicles properly

9.1 Termination by You

• 30 days written notice required
• Early termination fees may apply
• Vehicle must be returned in good condition
• Final inspection and settlement required

9.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate immediately for:

• Non-payment of rental fees
• Breach of terms and conditions
• Loss of driving licence or PHV licence
• Criminal conviction affecting eligibility
• Misuse or damage to vehicle

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
